• If you are age 60 or older, a unique opportunity awaits you at Lee University. Encore scholars are invited to enrich their lives through experiencing the academic excellence and Christ-centered atmosphere of Lee University. You may take courses for credit or just for fun. No special educational background or records will be required. Acceptance into a class is always dependent upon available space.

    When does it start?

    Classes are offered each Fall & Spring semester. Start dates vary upon classes offered.

    NOTE: Due to CDC Guidelines regarding COVID-19, class enrollment capacity  for the FA20 semester will be extremely limited.

    Beginning August 10th, registration will only be available via email, over the phone or by dropbox that will be found in the lobby of the Higginbotham Administration Building. In person registration will be BY APPOINTMENT ONLY due to the limited office space.


    The program fee is $25* per semester. Students have the opportunity to choose up to two courses and also enjoy the following benefits:

    • Free entry into concerts (including Presidential Concert Series events), plays, and athletic events.
    • Access to the library, computer labs, and your own Lee University email account.
    • Opportunity to discuss an educational plan for your Encore experience.
      * Some courses may require additional fees over the $25 program fee.

    Encore students are eligible to take up to two courses from the mini course or traditional course menu. Click the links below to see the list of Fall 2019 courses.
